In their sandals

You know the adage. "You don't know where I have been".
I believe this may be the case in reading the bible and it's meaning.

First, we need to understand that the bible is one book. yes! It is one complete book of one subject. and that is "Jesus Christ".
Secondly, it is Jesus Christ journey of gaining His people to form His kingdom in the New Jerusalem.

But the main emphasis for this blog is to understand who God was talking to in the Bible. I think sometimes believe that we have no clue to who God is talking to at anytime in the word.

We have taken the stories of the bible, the great oratories of David and the Psalms to the massive battles fought in Israel's name, that we have perceived these to pertain to just some historical significance in history past, and that we should just learn from the leaders mistakes.

Let me interject my understanding of the word of God here that "this bible",was a story of God begetting His people to bring into the Kingdom of the New Jerusalem.

God's sole intention was and is to beget His people, albeit that God uses many names through out the bible. Let me just name a few so you will understand where I am coming from. Jews,Children of Israel,Temple, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,
Joshua,church and the Bride.

Now you may be going "What????"

What we need to understand that God was showing us a blueprint of himself all thru the bible for us to be, but His people(see previous names) and now add our names to this list that we don't understand. This should get you to go back and re-read some of these people and groups to understand.

What we need to see in especially in the old testament God uses a singular name, in reference to a corporate being(His people). Their is the final inference in the new testament when God announces that Peter is the beginning of the Church.
Moses,Abraham,Joshua, were in succession becoming the final model of God's people being formed to becoming His Bride.

More to the point, the jews,God's people, were unaware that through all of their stubbornness in the old testament, their turning to other gods and to just the totally not understanding God's eternal purpose of His People that they were not of the divine nature to know Him. They were living in their own ways, their other gods, their lives, that they failed to realize that He was bringing them to perfection as His People to Him.

I urge you to go back to Genesis,Exodus,Leviticus,Numbers and Deuteronomy and see if you see the making of God's people thru the Jews and then also the Gentiles later on in the bible. If begin to see this picture unfolding before your eyes you will also will be changed in the real eternal purpose of God in the Bible.
We need to go all the way to Revelation, to see the final and end of God's purpose.
Understanding where someone's sandal's have been will always change us, put us in the right position to see the path.

May your reading bring you peace, and joy in the Lord.
